This study identifies factors that relate to depression during pregnancy. This work informs the content and targeting of early intervention programs for depression during pregnancy by identifying those who are at increased risk for depression during pregnancy, identifying what factors appear to mitigate or exacerbate these risks and by knowing how depression changes during pregnancy and after birth.
