SPHERU entered into a contract with the Muttart Foundation, a private charitable foundation based in Edmonton, Alberta, whose work includes a focus on early childhood education and care. SPHERU, working with Principal Investigator Sue Delanoy of Communities for Children and the foundation, have examined the benefits and challenges associated with a more integrated and comprehensive approach to funding and delivering early childhood education and care (ECEC) in Saskatchewan.
Goals / Outcomes: SPHERU has produced a commissioned paper, 20/20: Creating a Vision for Integrated Early Childhood Education and Care in Saskatchewan, which examines the present situation for ECEC in this province and what steps can be taken to improve service, programs, and support for families.
